Turn Your Brand Into A Star
In the grand scheme of the universe, Earth is just a miniscule dot.
Which means everyone on Earth is an even tinier dot.
Including your brand.
This might seem depressing to some people.
To others, ready to grab success, it’s a challenge. A challenge to be better, work harder, and make their mark on the universe.
When you look online today, there is an overflow of businesses. We are completely inundated with different brands, all wanting to grab your attention and prove they’re the best of the best.
So how do you improve your brand awareness?
Brand awareness is all about how recognisable, and memorable you are to your customers. Here are just a few of the ways you can start building your brand awareness, so you can have a successful business.
Know Your Brand
Before you can even begin to work on improving your brand recognition, you need to know what your brand is.
What is unique about your brand? What makes you stand out? It could be the people who work for you, the product or service you sell, or even the attitude you have. Whatever it is, once you figure it out, you can use it as your point of difference, and outshine your competition.
You also need to develop your brand identity. This includes the graphic design elements of branding, such as your colour scheme, your logo, and the general design of your website and products.
These are the things that stick in a potential customer’s mind when they think of your business.
Whether it’s your blog posts, social media or ads, you want your marketing materials to have a consistent design, so that your personal branding is recognisable straight away.
Once you understand your brand identity, you will have a much easier time boosting your brand awareness.
Know Your Audience
I’m sure we’d all love to be a world recognisable brand, where the simple silhouette of our logo is enough for people to know exactly who we are.
But to begin with, it’s just not realistic.
I’m not telling you to think small. By all means reach for the moon, and you’ll end up among the stars. But to start off, you need to know your audience, and narrow in on what is going to make you recognisable to them.
Market your brand in ways that will stand out to your customer base, so that you are being recognised by the right people. If the people who know your brand have no interest in working with you, then it doesn’t matter how aware they are of you.
So, to start, put your brand in front of the right people.
Once you’ve cemented your brand into the minds of your target audience, then it’s time to start expanding yourself even further.
THEN, you can start dreaming big, and send yourself to the moon.
Put In the Work
There’s no use just wishing on a star and hoping your brand will magically grow. You need to put in the work, long term, to make your brand memorable.
When a customer is familiar with your brand, they will be more likely to purchase from you than a competitor brand they are unfamiliar with.
Develop a voice for your brand, build up a story of who you are, and connect with people on an emotional level. Once people are emotionally invested in you, they’re more willing to financially invest in you.
Post to your social media, your website, make a podcast, infographics and whatever else you can think of to put your brand out there.
It’s a lot of work, and it can be quite overwhelming in the beginning.
But every great brand had to start somewhere, as a tiny speck of dust floating around.
If you don’t want to stay as a tiny dot, then it’s time to do the work.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, and see your own name written in the stars, you need to ensure you are branding your business for success.
